Once preliminary checks are completed, the application process of installing the LogicFoam® spray foam insulation can begin: Ensuring temporary ventilation is working and installation team are wearing proper equipment The LogicFoam® spray foam is then applied onto the target area through the hoses Sprayed area is sealed for 24 hours with ventilation left running
In 2013, UK loft home insulation building regulations changed the minimum depth of insulation to 270mm. This is to ensure that properties are sufficiently insulated and to positively impact energy saving effects. For loft insulation, an R-value of 6.1 is advised, but it’s important to note that R-value does not measure heat movement carried in the air. Typical insulation materials such as mineral fibre may have a high R value but does not block air flow due to holes, cracks and gaps between it.
Yes, you can use expanding foam insulation as cavity wall insulation. Expanding foam is often found in the form of spray foam insulation as it is the easiest method to apply the reactive, two-component mixture that expands once blown
Costs can depend on a variety of different factors, such as where you live, the size of your loft space and many other factors. We suggest sending a surveyor out to get a good idea of pricing at absolutely NO OBLIGATION!
LogicFoam® spray foam insulation is not toxic, and completely safe only 2 hours after being applied and, if done professionally, is not at all dangerous. Our non-toxic insulation is expunged using 99% pure air, harmless and independently tested. Once spray foam has been cured, it does not emit fumes or odours and is perfectly safe. In fact, open cell spray foam (used for residential applications) is actually recommended by AMICA, the European Association for the Environmental & Chronic Toxic Injury.
Our home loses 25% of heat through the roof, 35% through the walls, 15% through the floor, and rest through windows and gaps around the doors. To build a better thermal envelope, all you need to do is look at the second law of thermodynamics. According to the second law, “heat flows in one direction, from a warm space to a cold one”. That means that during the Summer, the warm air from outside will flow to the cooler, interior space. And during the long, Winter months, the warm air inside your home will flow to the cooler air outside. Insulation prevents this.
It’s important that agricultural insulation is applied proficiently to cover every possible gap to ensure that the potential risks of not having sufficient insulation aren’t created. This is why agricultural buildings need spray foam insulation. To ensure that the below risks don’t happen, we recommend LogicFoam® insulation as it stops: Condensation Increased fuel costs Excessive livestock food consumption Frost damage to crops
